"Since she started assisting my father, we have noticed that he seems more animated and more alert – especially in light of the fact that he has suffered from strokes in recent years.  She is a caring and compassionate person and we have truly enjoyed working with her."    Tom I.

Cognitive Stimulation Coaching

Our Cognitive Stimulation Coaching (CSC) stimulates the brain, keeping it active and engaged, increases mental vitality and builds reserves of mental pathways and connections.

The coaching sessions are:

  • Non-invasive

  • Can be used along-side regularly prescribed medications or independent of medications

  • One-on-One

  • Research proven

  • Innovative and evidence based

"This type of treatment could possibly alter the trajectory of Alzheimer's." M.W., Dr. Geriatrics and Internal Medicine

Our experience with CSC indicates an improvement in both cognitive function and quality of life for people with early to mid-stage Alzheimer's, Age-related memory challenges and brain injuries due to stroke or trauma.

We've all heard the statement "Use it or lose it."  This saying is very appropriate for cognitive function. Similar to physical fitness, studies have shown that a regular program of short mental exercises can help to stimulate the brain and improve cognitive functions.  Individuals and families who participate in Cognitive Stimulation Coaching can experience:

  • Increased cognitive ability, including memory and reasoning skills

  • Increased independence

  • Decreased depression and anti-social behaviors

  • Enhanced awareness of their surroundings

  • Increased socialization and confidence

  • Increased attention span

"Steve worked with me to develop a family history like none I have ever seen - very comprehensive."

"From the very first, I was extremely encouraged by my mother's response. Mom was more responsive and conversational after her sessions than she had been for the past several years.  She actually began to speak in complete sentences."  Sue B.

Personalized Adult Care

Our personalized care is provided within the comfort, safety and convenience of your home, assisted living facility or hospital room.  We have designed our services to lesson the stress on you and your family by providing aid for most family activities covering Personal Assistance, Homes Services and Family Support.

Our caregivers are carefully selected and thoroughly screened to ensure that you are getting the best companion and Certified Nursing Assistant services available to help you live as independently and comfortably as possible.  Most importantly, our caregivers are dependable and focused on your needs and well-being.  They will make a positive difference in your life.

Community Education and Outreach Services

We offer several informative, timely and essential seminars to help educate our communities on issues of concern to mature audiences and those who are concerned about, or provide care for, adults in need.  These seminars help to battle the lack of information, fear and misunderstandings that exist around dementia and adult care. We have found it all to common for people in need to say, "If I'd have only known..."

  • ...how easy it is to prevent falls.

  • ...the importance of estate planning.

  • ...the impact that nutrition can have on our long-term health.

  • ...how simple it is to detect and prevent negative medication interaction.

  • ...how to purchase long-term-care insurance.

  • ...the treatment options for dementia.

Our community education and outreach services battle the "If I'd have only known," syndrome.

These seminars and panel discussions have been developed in conjunction with specialists and recognized experts in: Senior Law, Geriatric Mental Health, Insurance, Fitness, Nutrition, Medical Management plus other essential areas, and when possible, those same specialists and experts present the material and participate in our panel discussions.

"I suffer from an inner ear condition and my balance is not too good.  I really think what I have learned here could help save my life."  Emily G., Fall Prevention seminar participant
