MedCheck MondayTM
Interactions and side-effects from Prescriptions and Over-the-Counter
medicines are a hidden contributor to health issues and may significantly
decrease your quality of life and produce symptoms that appear to be other
diseases. Your active management of the prescriptions, over-the-counter
and supplements you take can positively impact your life and health. One
action you can take is to complete a Medicine Review, or MedCheck, on a periodic
basis. The first Monday of every month is Mountain Life Care's MedCheck
MondayTM. We want you
to be healthy and active in your health management. So, every month, on
MedCheck Monday, ask yourself these questions:
Has it been 6 or more months since your last MedCheckTM?
Have you recently started taking new medicines, especially if you have more
than one Doctor or more than one Pharmacist?
Have you recently changed dosage levels on any Medicine, Over-the-Counter or
Supplement?
If the answer to any of these is a "yes," then you should consider taking
your current Prescriptions, Over-the-Counter and Supplements (including Herbal
Medicines and Vitamins) to your Pharmacist for review of their interaction and
to check the expiration dates.
